Overview
The North Carolina Public Health Practice-Based Research Network (NC PBRN) provides a bridge between public health practice and academic activities in North Carolina. The network is building a culture of partnership between academic – practice members to conduct public health services and systems research, advance public health practice and ultimately improve population health.
The NC PBRN is a section of the NC Public Health Association (NCPHA), where it is known as the Academic Practice-Based Research section. To promote a partnership culture the section conducts quarterly section meetings, hosts peer-reviewed, practice and academic presentations at the annual NCPHA conference, and engages in outreach to build an effective participatory research partnership among our members.
