Overview
This study by the North Carolina PBRN investigates the effects of a recent state policy change that reduced Medicaid funding for evidence-based maternity case management services provided by local public health agencies. The research estimates the policy’s impact on the delivery of MCH services and resulting birth outcomes, the “spill over” effects on public health agency core capacity to provide other services, and the adaptations that agencies are implementing to preserve core capacities.
