Building Research Capacity for Public Health Services and Systems Research

Increasing the number of qualified investigators engaged in public health services and systems research is one of the central aims of the NCC, and these awards aim to attract investigators early in their careers to the field of PHSSR.  This Call for Proposals offers the sixth round of funding for promising junior investigators whose careers will focus on PHSSR and inform future public health practice.

Support for this program ended in 2015: Past Funding Opportunities

Public Health Services and Systems Research (PHSSR) is a multidisciplinary field of study that examines the organization, financing, delivery and quality of public health services within communities and the resulting impact on population health. Significant changes are occurring in the delivery of public health services as a result of external forces and public health policies, creating opportunities to study the impact of these changes on population health. Funding is available from a variety of sources to support timely investigations in these areas.
