Dr. Ramirez is deeply committed interdisciplinary public health translational research that focuses in the areas of health disparities & health equity, exploring the relationships between the built and social environments, and utilizing participatory approaches that are responsive to community needs. She combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches to focus in the areas of health equity, public health systems and services research,and improving the performance in local public health departments. As an experienced Nia Teacher, health educator, and wellness coordinator her ongoing mission is to make integrative health and mindfulness based practices accessible for everyBODY while also advocating for wellness as an active, lifelong process toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
