The National Coordinating Center for Public Health Services and Systems Research (PHSSR) and the Public Health Practice-Based Research Networks (PBRN) National Coordinating Center are pleased to announce the joining of these two entities with the September 1st launch of the new National Coordinating Center for Public Health Services and Systems Research and Practice-Based Research Networks.

As the PHSSR and PBRN Programs of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation continue to grow and evolve, programmatic leadership has seized an exciting opportunity to capitalize on the complementarities of the programs, foster collaborations between them, and maximize efficiency and service by combining the two coordinating centers into this single operational unit located at the University of Kentucky. With continued leadership from the team of Principal Investigator Dr. Glen Mays and co-Principal Investigator Dr. Douglas Scutchfield, the newly-combined center will continue to engage in focused activities centered around extramural research, intramural research and methods development, stakeholder engagement and translation, and administrative support for grantees and partners.

Faculty and staff at the Center look forward to continuing to work closely with stakeholders on issues of key importance to public health. Please contact Deputy Director Dr. Anna Hoover at Anna.Hoover@uky.edu with any questions about this operational change.
