Amber Hughes Sinclair is a research scientist at the New York State Department of Health where she studies cancer care quality measures in the Medicaid and Medicare populations. For the past 10 years, she has conducted health services research on a variety of topics with The Center for Health Research/Southeast of Kaiser Permanente-Georgia (KP). She currently works as a consultant and principal investigator for KP on an ongoing study of the respiratory health effects of ambient air pollution. She is completing her doctoral dissertation at the University of Georgia's School of Public and International Affairs in the Public Administration & Policy program. She completed her MSPH degree in biostatistics at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta and her undergraduate mathematics coursework at Berea College in Berea, Ky. Her research interests combine the public health and health services research disciplines, and include the study of systems and organizational characteristics on public health system performance.
