Dr. McCurdy is Assistant Professor for Health Administration at the College of Health and Human Services, California State University, Sacramento. His research interests are associated with the application of organizational theory to health care. His current research uses network theory and methods to identify relational, structural, and governance properties associated with high-performing community health coalitions. He received his PhD in health services and policy analysis from the University of California-Berkeley. Prior to entering academia, he served 20 years as a health care administrator in the United States Air Force where he obtained the rank of Major and held a variety of leadership positions in the federal sector. After leaving the Air Force, he was a consultant for strategy and business development to
Sutter Health, a large multi-hospital system in Northern California.
