Evidence for Action Announces First Call for Proposals

Posted: June 10, 2015

Evidence for Action, a National Program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, based at the Center for Health and Community at the University of California, San Francisco, recently announced the launch of their Call for Proposals for the Investigator-Initiated Research to Build a Culture of Health.

Evidence for Action supports investigator-initiated research to develop the evidence base needed to build a national Culture of Health—in which everyone has the opportunity to live their healthiest life possible. We will fund innovative studies on the impact programs, policies, and partnerships can have on health and well-being, with a particular focus on research that will advance health equity.

The program seeks to attract diversity of thought, professional background, race and ethnicity, and cultural perspective in their applicant pool. Building a Culture of Health means integrating health into all aspects of society, so we encourage multi-sector partnerships and collaboration. Preference will be given to applicants that are either public entities or nonprofit organizations based in the United States or its territories.

The first Call for Proposals (CFP) was released on June 1st.
