Arjumand Siddiqi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Dr. Siddiqi, who trained as a social epidemiologist at Harvard University, is interested in the role of social and economic aspects of societies in shaping inequalities in population health and human development. In particular, her research utilizes a cross-national comparative perspective to understand the consequences of different political economy and social policy approaches for inequalities in health and developmental outcomes.
